Jessica Lubin I have practiced being in love with yoga for 20 years now. One of my greatest teachers during my 10 years living in NYC admired my serenity & slight obsession with inversions. However, for me, my admiration wasn't, and isn't, about the challenge of accomplishing these advanced poses; rather, the way my mind & body felt while "actually within", and after coming out, of an extended headstand. "Have you been to this new floating yoga from a swing?" he asked. One visit...I was hooked! Jessica Lubin returned to her hometown of Albany in 2011 after her life path took her almost around the globe. She moved to Guatemala to help build a bottle school, decided to stay and intensify her study of yoga and holistic health there. She then traveled to India for 5 months where she studied & received her yoga teacher training certification. She opened Good Karma Studio, the 1st and only Aerial Yoga Studio in Albany, NY in 2011. In 2013, Good Karma expanded, offering two amazing studios within one building. Our 2nd floor, or "Flight Center", continues to house all Aerial experiences. While our new first floor studio, "Ground Down" is a space to feel the earth beneath your mat. A perfect balance. NOW...she has joined forces with Jenn Gerber to bring Aerial to Saratoga! Jessica has since studied & trained under Tribe Yoga, Gravotonics, Rolf Gates, Janet Stone, Shiva Rea, Yoga Works NYC, Kula Yoga/Schuyler Grant, & Sadie Nardini. She LOVES to teach, to learn, to be inspired & to inspire!
JENNIFER GERBER Jenn's newest obsession is FLYING in the swing!! Shortly after taking one of Jessica's classes at Good Karma, she fell in love with both Jess and FLYING. She almost immediately enrolled herself in Good Karma's intensive Aerial Teacher Training. Excited and rejuvenated about how she felt her child like enthusiasm return after being inverted with the safety of the swing, she decided to bring it up to her current home town of Saratoga Springs, NY. Jenn first received certification from Frog Lotus Yoga in Massachusetts and is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher in vinyasa and haha yoga, registered with the Yoga Alliance. She is an energetic, dedicated individual whose core passion is helping others achieve a balanced lifestyle centered on positive spiritual and physical wellness. Jenn has been practicing yoga for over 10 years, teaching for more than half that time. Her yoga class motivates students, challenging them to be mindful of and explore their comfort zone through a vigorous vinyasa flow. Jenn’s education (BS in Nutrition and MS in Health Education) allows her to offer further guidance and support to her students. Her verbal and hands-on assistance supports students as they go deeper into asanas, allowing for a deeper practice that offers each student a new perspective on their personal journey. As an individual who has completed a marathon for charity and who followed her dreams as they took her and her husband backpacking through Central/South America, Jenn speaks from personal life experiences offering students an awareness of living a life full of gratitude, exploration and compassion.
